A development in the US has chosen to lay carpets in the bedrooms of more than 100 townhouses.
The carpets will be laid on the top level of the homes at the Walnut Grove complex by ParkLane Homes, reports the Langley Times.
Large bedrooms and wide hallways will be carpeted to offer a comfortable feel for the affordable homes, which are being marketed at homeowners looking to downsize their property and retired people.
The first buyers of the homes, which also feature a double garage and an open plan living area, dining space and kitchen on the main floor, will move in on March 1st 2010.
Laminate flooring is a good option for homes as it is highly durable and able to cope with high levels of foot traffic from children and pets.
It will retain its look without fading even if exposed to direct sunlight and does not require much maintenance to keep it looking brand new.
